Dinner with live music in Córdoba: how our evenings actually work

Córdoba is a city you take in with all five senses: the history in the streets, the flavour in the kitchens. When night falls in the historic centre, some people are also looking for music.
At Brasas Bar Karibu, a few steps from the Roman Temple, there is live music on some evenings. Best to say it plainly: it is not every night, nor every weekend. They are specific dates, and we announce each one beforehand.
🎷 What one of those evenings is like
The dining room is small and the kitchen is open: from your table you can see chef Luis Ezqueta working the Josper oven. When there is music, they play a few metres from the tables: soul, jazz, funk or quiet pop, depending on who is on.
It is not background music, but it is not a concert either: you can talk, eat and listen at the same time. One customer wrote in their review that the sound was "better quality than many concerts".
🍽️ What to order that night
A sequence that works well, from our menu:
To start: the ceviche, or the grilled lettuce hearts with smoked sardine.
Main: a cut over 100% vegetable charcoal, the Galician Blonde burger or the duck magret. Check the blackboard as well: the cuts change.
To finish: the cheesecake, suitable for coeliacs and for anyone lactose intolerant.
📅 How to know if there is music on a given night
Ask us when you book and we will tell you. We publish each date beforehand on our Instagram @brasasbar_karibu and on our Google listing. The room is small, so those evenings are worth booking early.
